My Family History

Blending Mendoza tradition with Italian heritage

I inherited a passion for wine from my winemaking ancestors. Angel Furlotti, my great-grandfather, was a pioneer in the Mendoza winemaking industry. He arrived from Italy with a great knowledge about soils and winemaking techniques. Upon realizing the potential of the soils here, he planted vines in places like Agrelo, Altamira, Lunlunta and Vistalba. A tireless visionary, Angel purchased his first winery in Maipú, together with his sons. It reached its highest potential during the 1960s.

Now, I’ve taken up my family’s winemaking tradition with the same enthusiasm, pride and faith in the future. It’s a tradition that now dates back four generations.
Like my great-grandfather Angel, I believe that the best wine comes from the best grapes, ideally old grapes. This belief fuels my dream to preserve small heritage vineyards threatened by urban sprawl. And that’s how Finca Adalgisa was born. The past and the present are united here by one passion – the art of making wine.
